Conducting
Ben trained as a choral conductor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where he studied alongside Neil Ferris (BBC Symphony Chorus, Sonoro), Sarah Tenant-Flowers (Papagena, BBC Maestro) and Simon Halsey (City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus, London Symphony Chorus).
While at college he worked alongside the likes of Carlo Rizzi, Stephen Harris and conducted music by Morten Lauridsen in an audience with the composer.
He also received the Busenhart-Morgan-Evans Bursary which was awarded by the Worshipful Company of Singers.
Ben is a firm believer that singing is for everyone and is a particular champion of community choral projects and music for the enhancement of health and wellbeing.
He regularly works in Croatia alongside the FAKS Sings festival which is a celebration of community music-making from across Europe.
